Reporting to the Development Director (DD), the Development Manager (DM) will play a key role in maximizing BEA’s fundraising effectiveness and will be responsible for creating and managing development operations, identifying new funding opportunities through prospect research, drafting compelling narratives to retain and invite new partnerships, and deepening relationships with BEA grassroots members and funder and national green allies. Next to the DD, the DM will be the second development staff member for BEA. A large majority of BEA’s revenue comes from private institutional philanthropy and national environmental funding. In partnership with the DD, the DM will support revenue generation across all fundraising streams with an opportunity to support the development of an individual giving strategy as we work to engage new environmental justice (EJ) champions.
