We're seeking a Convening Coordinator and Convening Facilitator for the BEA General Assembly this Fall 2023! 

We are seeking facilitation services for an in-person meeting (100+ attendance) scheduled for October 4-6, 2023, in Albuquerque, NM. Our attendees are representatives of three sectors of the environmental movement (grassroots organizations, national “Big Green” organizations, and philanthropy). This is our first member convening in five years, as well as the 10th anniversary of BEA’s founding.

We are looking for an individual or small team to support the meeting design and to facilitate connection, relationship development, and courageous conversations amongst our participants. Ideal consultant candidates are highly skilled in creating inclusive, goal-oriented gatherings, and are experienced in guiding groups across differences in identity, power, and culture towards trust and alignment. Familiarity with the US environmental justice movement is a plus but not required.

The Convening Coordinator will manage logistics for a 100+ attendance in person meeting October 4-6, 2023 in Albuquerque, NM. Our staff and attendees will be traveling to NM from across the US. Key areas of coordination that we seek support with are assistance in finding a meeting venue, local transportation, hotel rooms, and meals. We’re asking that the coordinator be on site with staff a day in advance for planning purposes.
