BEA Introduces Project Director: Tina Broder
We are pleased to announce that Tina Broder has joined the BEA as the Project Director. She most recently served at Interim Executive Director and Program Director of a national public health coalition focused on hepatitis. In that role she oversaw grant funding to support local community groups, engaged in national advocacy work, and established several new programs to center individuals with lived experience in the development of advocacy priorities and addressing barriers to care.
Her background includes work in health services research and case management for homeless women and children. She completed Masters degrees in Social Work and Public Health from the University of California at Berkeley and a Bachelors degree in Political Science and International Studies at Northwestern University. She is excited to join the BEA’s work to expand the resources and power of grassroots organizations and communities disproportionately impacted by climate change and environmental racism.
