We are at an exciting time in the development of the BEAI Fund. After finalizing the BEAI Fund Concept, and more recently, securing significant commitments to the Fund (nearly $1 million!), we are ready to move the Fund from concept to operation. 

The BEAI Fund was born out of a shared recognition that for the environmental movement to be successful, it must support and resource grassroots groups to institutionalize community-based solutions to the ecological crisis. Please see the BEAI Fund one-pager and Primer that detail the Fund’s goals and strategy. Our thanks to many of you who provided key input on these details last year.

A key component of the BEAI Fund is its Advisory Board that will guide the Fund’s grantmaking decisions in coordination with Grassroots International. We are now soliciting self-nominations to serve on the Advisory Board.
